Session 1: Hybrid Workforce – Strategies for the Digitally Enabled Workforce
Moderator: David Guthrie, CIO & CISO at Sharecare
The migration of larger numbers of workers to remote work environments offers the opportunity to utilize technologies that empower employees to be included in a broader array of engagements. However, it also comes with the potential downsides of less oversight and potentially reduced productivity. This panel will discuss how the dynamics of remote work could demand that companies rethink the division of labor amongst employees, how roles might need to evolve, and what this might mean to career paths.
10:15 am - 10:30 am
10:30 am - 11:15 am
Session 2: The End of IT ...As We Know It
Speaker: Sunny Gupta, CEO at Apptio
Today’s technology and business leaders must constantly innovate to compete. Many are working to future proof digital transformations by embracing the cloud and shifting from projects to products, all while managing cost-cutting pressures. In this session, Sunny will share how companies are reinventing their business models to fund value streams and connect technology investments to strategic business outcomes.
11:15 am - 12:00 pm
Session 3: The Autonomous Digital Enterprise & The Future of Digital Transformation - What’s next?
Moderator: Jeff Hardy , VP Sales BMC Software & Moderator: Scott Crowder, CIO at BMC
As leaders remain focused on enhancing organizational adaptability while growing revenue, how does digital transformation play a part? Digitally advanced enterprises are able to support employees doing higher value, creative work to take advantage of new opportunities and quickly adjust to shifting markets and preferences. They’ll be driven by agility, customer centricity and actionable insights, incorporating AI and other advanced technologies into their core operations. This session will discuss what becoming an ADE (Autonomous Digital Enterprise) really means and what to expect from these changes both short and long-term.
For this exclusive panel discussion, we invited our participants to share their thoughts on digital transformation, both current and future state. This discussion will be an interactive exchange on the experiences of their digital journey while looking toward the future. Gain valuable insight into how our panel has empowered people to work in new ways, built capabilities for the workforce, developed digital leaders, rewired their organization, and evolved strategies beyond digital transformation.

Session 5: Optimizing Data Exchange
Moderator: Don Freese, CISO at Digital Realty Trust
Data volumes are growing at an average of 63% per month, according to an IDG study.1 It’s estimated that by 2025, over 463 exabytes of data will be created every day.2 It’s almost hard to comprehend. This explosion of data globally, and the data gravity intensity it creates, will continue to impact IT infrastructure and customer experiences across all industries. The challenge is how to process, analyze and apply it all to keep your organization running smoothly. How do you turn exponential data growth into a strategic asset, as well as overcome data gravity barriers? The data gravity megatrend is the single biggest challenge impacting enterprises on a global scale today. It inhibits workflow performance, raises security concerns and increases costs, all complicated by regulatory constraints. A plan to “pivot and adapt” to a pervasive data-centric IT architecture that optimizes data exchange and enables connected data communities has become mission critical. IT decision makers and heads of infrastructure are positioned to drive business innovation and influence such a shift in IT architecture strategy that can unlock trapped value, competitive advantages and growth opportunities.
2:30 pm - 2:45 pm
Session 6:Leverage the Trusted Advisor to Make the Marketplace Work for You
Presenters: Drew Lydecker, President, and Ian Kieninger, CEO of AVANT
Drew and Ian will introduce the concept of “time multiplication” to describe the importance of leveraging the Trusted Advisor to accelerate decision-making and to shorten time-to-value. The market has never been more fragmented than it is today with new providers emerging and displacing long-time leaders at unprecedented rates. In this session, you will hear first-hand stories of how companies are harnessing the Trusted Advisor relationship to turn the tables on the massive provider ecosystem to making it work for them rather than falling victim to the diluting effects of their sheer size and scale.
2:45 pm - 3:30 pm
Session 7: Job Market – Competing with Limited Resources
Moderator: Todd Lant, CIO at Blackbaud
The job market is tight, and positions are going unfilled. Attracting resources to your company has become incrementally more difficult not only because of the limited availability of qualified applicants but because of the unprecedented power they now wield to demand levels of flexibility that were unheard of as recently as two years ago. This panel will discuss strategies companies are employing as they rethink their approach to recruiting and hiring new talent and how they incent cultural redesign and adoption.

Session 8: IT Value - Beyond Cost Control & Productivity
Moderator: John Crowley, CIO at Fidelity National Financial
The connection between business success and technology investments has never been more evident in the eyes of executive leadership. They understand that revenue expansion and increased profitability are impossible without substantial investments in new technological capabilities. Further, the latest round of existential tremors that shook the business community have fundamentally accelerated adoption timelines for new technology solutions. This panel will discuss how these changes mandate that IT escape its historical, cost-based justification models and re-envision how companies track, manage and optimize essential technology investments.
9:45 am - 10:30 am
Session 9: Driving Business Innovation
Moderator: Mark Benaquista, Managing Director at T.H. Lee
The role of CIOs has undergone tremendous change – straining under the bone-stretching evolution from sole technology decision-maker and most senior technologist to a threatened and diminished position weakened by the take-over from non-technology business leaders. Now we are seeing signs that the role is re-emerging in preeminence as the most qualified technology investor. But with that journey has come the maturity that no single individual in a company can comprehend all opportunities for all business units’ innovation. This panel will explore how the role of CIO will continue to evolve away from “know-it-all” tech-star to most trusted investment strategist.
10:30 am - 10:45 am
10:45 am - 11:30 am
Session 10: Security - Defensible Technology Investment
Moderator: Rich Friedberg, CISO at Blackbaud
Security is an unrelenting and inescapable priority for every modern company. As the population becomes more confident in their reliance on technology, opinions about the impact of security-based disruptions have matured. Consumers increasingly understand the ever-present nature of external security risks and the difficulty companies face in keeping bad actors at bay. Consumers are also becoming more dependent on technology-enabled products and services for even the most mundane everyday tasks. As attitudes about security evolve and the monetary consequences of failure change, so must companies adjust their security investments. The future is becoming less focused on absolute perfection in security execution and more about ensuring adequate investments that demonstrate sufficient fiduciary responsibility. This panel will discuss the balance between levels of investment and the inevitable security risks of companies.
